Dr. Shaun Nelms is a highly sought-after speaker on equitable systems and administrative leadership. As a professor at the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education and Human Development, he teaches courses in human resource management, school governance, and transformational leadership in complex environments.

With more than 20 years of experience leading complex organizations, Dr. Shaun Nelms established the Nelms Consulting Group to empower industry leaders and their teams to build high-performing cultures. His 2013 research centered on distributed leadership and its impact on building leadership capacity and efficacy, principles he has applied with remarkable success.

Dr. Nelms transformed New York State’s lowest-performing school into one of the region's highest-performing schools. By focusing on strategic leadership team development, the school’s graduation rate surged from 29% to 86% in just seven years. His work demonstrates that with the right people, structures, and resources, organizations in any industry can achieve exceptional results through effective leadership.
